Raf Simons managed to be innovative yet stuck to Dior's classic roots. Apparently Simons took inspiration from all over the world, with styles from Europe, the US, Asia and Africa.
Tim Banks (from style.com) wrote about the show:
"(...) a genuinely free (mind) applying himself to a métier as bound by tradition as couture was thrilling."
These were my favorite looks:
Here some backstage pictures:
Apparently, model Jourdan Dunn was canceled in the last minute because of her boobs (what does that even mean?). Jourdan tweeted:
The front row fashionistas included, amongst many, my favorites: Anna dello Russo, Olivia Palermo, Miroslova Duma and Sofia Sanchez Berrenechea. The italian stylish editor -Anna dello Russo- looked as gorgeous as ever in a white crop top and a long black skirt with a leg cut -she has such an incredible body. Next, the beautiful put-together American model: Olivia Palermo looked great with an ivory blazer. Mira Duma looked like a true seventies chick with this blue-orange-white dress. And finally, my Argentine co-patriot Sofia Sanchez B, looked adorable in this short print dress.
What do you think of Dior's latest collection? Are you a fan of what Raf Simons has done with the brand?
And what do you think of these last four fashionistas? I love each of their own unique styles.
