Buenos Aires Fashion Week took place from August 7th to the 10th. Latin American fashion is slowly (but surely) getting more and more international response.
Albeit always a season behind, prominent fashion designer such as Calvin Klein's Francisco Costa or even legendary designers such as Carolina Herrera(Venezuela), Oscar de la Renta (Dominican Republic), Narciso Rodriguez (Cuban descent) and Argentina's own Victor de Souza all Latin America natives.
In the words of BBC:
For anyone who has walked through the boutique-filled streets of Palermo Soho, a trendy Buenos Aires neighbourhood, it quickly becomes obvious that Porteños have a great sense of style.
The city is also home to a vibrant fashion community, where dozens of independent designers and clothing brands influence country and continent-wide fashion trends.
Throughout all of BAF Week there are tons of different showrooms showcasing Argentina's own independent designers. Everything from chic laungerie to funky and edgy accessories.
Unique and authentic apparel. I loved all of these colorful shoes, they are all absolutely stylish.
What do you think?
More images from the different showrooms. I love all of the different patterns and fabrics, and they're all so cute.
I loved this particular show because it consisted of four different fashion magazines that styled all of the different looks, each consistent with one of the four themes: Bohemian, Punk, 90s and rocker chic. The fashion magazines were: OhLaLa, Para Ti, Catalogue and Bazaar.
All of the different looks by the fabulous fashion editors.
