The always talented and modern Rebecca Minkoff previewed her latest fall collection via the widely popular Snapchat app.
The designer informed her followers via twitter of this innovative new initiative, she tweeted:
Add us on @Snapchat! We'll reveal #RMSPRING looks before they hit the runway. Watch the space starting 2PM. Username: rebeccaminkoff #nyfw
The Snapchats were between 8 and 10 seconds, and gave fashionistas a glimpse of some of Minkoff's latest looks.
REBECCA MINKOFF's CEO spoke to Mashable and explained this latest NYFW-Snapchat initiative:
“We believe the consumer is part of [fashion week], and that their inclusion is going to grow. The consumer has a voice and say in [our] brand, they should get special perks even if they can’t attend the show.”
Last February the designer also had a modern take on its fashion show, and had a twitter live feed during her NYFW show (as seen above).
What do you think of the brand's Snapchat collection previews?
I personally love seeing all of these different innovative approaches that involve the brand's fans, and I think that Rebecca Minkoff did a fantastic job at being modern and keeping with the times.
